All I want for Christmas is a...HONEYMOON!!
With the high cost of flights to go home for Christmas, and the fact that we have been married for 8 months and never went on a honeymoon, Reed and I decided to spend this holiday season taking our honeymoon. We spent 10 days touring London & Paris and had a blast...most of the time. ;) Our trip started with both of us getting sick, and we certainly had our share of travel stresses, but we def made up for it with lots of sightseeing and great memories. The London half of our trip was filled with fish & chips @ traditional pubs, Big Ben, the London Eye, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abby and so much more! With Paris came the Eiffle Tower (which we went to the top of and got to ice skate on), the Arc de Triomphe, Sacre Coeur, Notre Dame, the Louvre, the Palace of Versailles, and Christmas day spent @ Disney Paris! I think some of my favorite times were spent just walking around and tasting new things from all the cute Christmas street vendors. Who knew Vin Chaud would be so good! We really did have a lot of fun and made a lot of lasting memories. It certainly was not the same being away from family and friends during the holidays though. We got to Skype with our families...but there is nothing like the real thing. We obviously missed just being in the US too...as we found ourselves at McDonalds more than once:) Hope you all enjoy a few pics from our trip!

Christmas with the Cozens'
This morning was Christmas morning at our house! With our upcoming honeymoon trip, we decided to celebrate our first Christmas as a married couple this morning. It was a fabulous time filled with homemade cinnamon rolls, mimosas:), presents, Christmas movies in the background, and a delicious Christmas ham! Not being home to celebrate Christmas was definitely strange, but we are enjoying starting new traditions together! Enjoy our family photos!

Reed's Bday Celebration!
Yesterday was Reed's birthday...and since we are so far away I tried to make it special. It all started with an early morning breakfast, and then while he was at work I made yummy chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter cream filling and chocolate frosting. They were amazeballs! :) I also took a stab at Paula Deen's crockpot mac & cheese since that is Reed's favorite food. It was just delicious ya'll! Ma joined us over Skype to help wish Reed a happy birthday & then some buds (Peacock and Vanessa) came by to have some birthday drinks and cupcakes. All in all it was a good time & Reed had a great birthday!

We Live in Connecticut?!?
We are still very much getting used to the fact that we actually live in Connecticut...and will for the next 4 years or so. It is a tough pill to swallow, as it was definitely not one of our choices. It has been 2 weeks and 5 days since we arrived and we are very much settled in and excited for the holidays. We even hosted our first little get together last Friday with some Navy friends! Our apartment is SO cute and very spacious!...so we expect visitors;) It is right on the water and has beautiful views! Reed checked in and began working as soon as we arrived, and I have been staying busy running errands, getting things done around the apartment, and trying my hand at cooking more! I am planning to start looking for work at the first of the year. This will certainly be a new and exciting adventure for us, and we are looking forward to whatever may lay ahead! Here are a few pictures to give you an idea of our new place. Enjoy!
